Dear Charlotte’s Web family,

Thank you for your help today to protect access to hemp products in California.

It has been nearly ten years since Charlotte’s Web shipped its first products to California consumers. However, there’s a concerted effort afoot to eliminate your continued access to full-spectrum and broad-spectrum CBD products, and we need your immediate help to stop it.

Longtime hemp champion State Assemblymember Cecilia Aguiar-Curry introduced AB 420 as an effort to clean up provisions in the current hemp law. Unfortunately, it appears that marijuana interests in the state are trying to use this vehicle to impose draconian THC limits on hemp-derived CBD. The California Department of Public Health recently joined in, offering an amendment that would set a package limit of 5 servings per package and a total THC limit of 0.001 mg/g for hemp products. These limits are arbitrary with no scientific backing and would effectively eliminate access to non-intoxicating full spectrum and broad-spectrum hemp products by forcing them into the adult-use cannabis recreational market.

What can you do? If you or your loved ones rely on the health benefits of full-spectrum or broad-spectrum CBD products, please use the email letter below to contact State Assemblymember Cecilia Aguiar-Curry and urge her to block these efforts to impose drastic THC limits on hemp products. Our technology makes it super easy. Once you input your contact information, an email will populate with State Assemblymember Cecilia Aguiar-Curry’s email address and an editable message. With a simple click of the button, she will hear your voice loud and clear.Unfortunately, this isn’t the first state we’ve seen conflicting interests try to enact regulation on our industry that is detrimental to consumers seeking to manage their own wellness. We’ve been working hard with legislators in states across the country to ensure our family of customers has access to the highest quality CBD. As surprising as it may be to hear, vested players in certain states which allow recreational cannabis sales, are trying to regulate hemp products in a way that prevents most people from easily accessing these products.

Please don’t delay contacting State Assemblymember Cecilia Aguiar-Curry, and please share this call to action with your friends, family, and contacts in California. Time is of the essence, as the legislature is now back in session after the Labor Day holiday.

We need your help TODAY to ensure access to hemp products is protected in California.

Thank you for your help,

Jared Stanley
